Pulwama Encounter : civilian among injured during exchange of fire, clashes erupt | KNO

Pulwama, May 16: (KNO) : A youth namely namely Younis Ahmad Dar was injured during exchange of fire at Dalipora area of Pulwama.

Reports reaching to KNO stated that the youth was hit by bullet during initial exchange of fire and was shifted to hospital for treatment. An official told KNO that three army men were also injured during exchange of fire. Soon after news of encounter spread in the area youth took to streets and started pelting stones on government forces which was retaliated by tear smoke shells.

Earlier predawn gunfight raged between militants and government forces in Dalipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district An official told KNO that a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SoG Pulwama cordoned off Dalipora after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area. The searches were intensified in the area were militants were hiding who fired upon government forces resulting in an encounter. (KNO)
